Time to Bring Printing Back!
Not too long ago I found the photo album my mom made for me as a child. I can clearly remember my mom bring our film (yes, film!) to the store to have developed, then waiting to see what would be on that roll. Once the prints were back home we’d go through them and then my mom would lovingly and painstakingly sort them to put into our albums.
We all know how far technology has come and how wonderful it is that we can so easily take and view our pictures. We can share them in an instant with hundreds of people, family and friends, both near and far. However, when I took that album out and went through every page it was a whole different experience. I took the time to look closely at the photos and remember who was with me and all the experiences surrounding those days. Then my husband and boys wanted a turn looking through it too. They loved seeing all the “funny” outfits I had and asked so many questions about the people in the pictures and where we were when the photo was taken. It was such a fun time going through that album and made me start to think about how I really haven’t printed many of my own photos in the last 10 (eek!) years.
It’s time we bring printing back!
